Special Announcements
We have BIG news!
We have some exciting news to share with you all.
Please join us in extending a warm and enthusiastic welcome to Angela Mercado, our new executive director at UHeights.
We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter with Angela, and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishments in her new role.
Summer Park Pop Up is BACK!
This summer, we’re thrilled to bring back one of our favorite traditions: the Summer Park Pop Up series at UHeights Plaza! In partnership with the Seattle Neighborhood Famers Market, we’re creating a vibrant, community-centered space where neighbors can gather, celebrate, and connect. Every second Saturday from July through September, you’re invited to enjoy free live music, interactive booths hosted by local organizations, and delicious offerings from special food vendors.
Our first pop up will come NEXT Saturday, July 8, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and it’ll be an unforgettable start to the season. We’re featuring an exciting lineup of performances: the talented students of PSCS Music Bands will take the stage, followed by the high-energy routines of the Double Dutch Divas, and a dynamic set from local favorite Kontagious.
Whether you’re here for the music, the community connections, or just some sunshine and snacks, there’s something for everyone. Mark your calendars, bring your friends, and join us as we kick off a summer of joy, rhythm, and belongingness at UHeights!

Arts and Learning
The end is nigh!
UHeights Theatre Alliance member Penguin Productions invites you to an entirely teen-driven production of Macbeth! Catch this bold reimagining of Shakespeare’s classic on July 14 and 15 at 7:00 PM. Set within the surreal world of a 1950s sitcom, this performance dives headfirst into a twisted, dreamlike atmosphere you won’t forget. Come support young talent and witness Shakespeare like you’ve never seen before!
Get ready to laugh your socks off!
Another UHeights Theatre Alliance member, Yun Theatre, brings Olivia Xing’s Party School to life on July 1 at 7:30 PM in The Auditorium at UHeights. Through humor and honesty, Olivia reflects on her experience as a Chinese woman navigating racism and sexism during Covid. Blending wit and insight, this one-woman show promises to be both hilarious and thought-provoking. Don’t miss it—Get your tickets here!
Sew much love from our community!
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our Thursdays at 10 Stitchery Group , whose recent project stitched together warmth and generosity. Not only did they sew 43 sets of curtains for Rosie’s Tiny House Village—surpassing the original request—they also raised over $400 to fund curtain rods. Huge thanks to Jennifer, Joan, Kate, Kathy, Linda R., Marianne, and Ruth for their incredible handiwork and continued dedication to uplifting our greater community!
Community Happenings!
